Axe in a dream
In the folk reading, an axe in a dream means a clear decision, getting ready for winter and work that warms you twice.
In folk tradition the axe is first of all a tool for firewood, so dream books tie it to preparation, diligence and a warm winter. A dream about an axe is believed to say you are ready to put an end to hesitation, an old habit or an arrangement that has dragged on. A sharp axe is read as a clear head and a quick decision, a blunt one as a sign to sharpen your tools and rest your hands before the job. People add that firewood warms you twice: once while you split it, and again by the stove.
