Face in a dream
A face in a dream is read in folk tradition as reputation, sincerity and the way others see and remember you.
Folk say the face is the mirror of the soul, so in dreams it is tied to honor, good name and sincerity. Dream books take a bright, clear face as a sign of a calm conscience and a good word among people. Unfamiliar faces are read as new acquaintances, and your own face in a mirror as a moment of looking at yourself openly. If your face looked different in the dream, it is believed that you are changing and growing, not that anything is amiss.

Dreaming of a smiling face
A smiling face is read as a welcome: people are well disposed toward you and the door is open. A dream that announces a pleasant meeting.
Dreaming of an unfamiliar face
Folk reading takes a face you do not recognize as a new acquaintance or a new side of someone you already know. Curiosity is in order here.
Dreaming of washing your face
Washing the face counts in dream books as a lovely sign: you rinse off tiredness and worries and begin the day anew. It is said to bring a clear head.
These interpretations come from folk tradition and are meant for fun; they do not predict the future and are not advice for life decisions.
