Giraffe in a dream
By folk belief, a giraffe in a dream means you will see things from above and reach for what used to be too far away.
Newer dream books read the giraffe as an animal of the long view: it sees what others on the ground cannot. A dream about one is believed to come when you need to step back from small things and look at the wider picture. If it calmly nibbled leaves from the treetop, your goals are thought to be high but within reach. It is also said to remind you gently that, while looking far ahead, you should not forget the people standing right beside you.
The most common dreams
Dreaming of a giraffe eating leaves
This is read as a reward waiting for those who do not settle for the lowest branch. By folk belief, the effort you are putting in will soon get its sweet bite.
Dreaming of feeding a giraffe
Old folk would say a respected guest is coming, or that you will grow close to someone you have long watched from a distance. The meeting will be a pleasant one.
Dreaming of a baby giraffe
A giraffe calf means a wish that is still growing. It is believed that what now seems small and clumsy will one day rise above all your expectations.
Dreaming of a giraffe in your yard
An unusual guest in the yard announces a surprise at home, most often a cheerful one. It is said that news is coming that will make you look up and laugh.
These interpretations come from folk tradition and are meant for fun; they do not predict the future and are not advice for life decisions.
