Lizard in a dream
By folk tradition, a lizard in a dream stands for warmth, quick wits and the ability to start over.
A lizard basks on a stone and vanishes the moment you come near, so dream books see it as a sign of speed and resourcefulness. Folk tradition remembers above all that its tail grows back, which is why the dream is also read as renewal: what you lost or let go, you will make up for. A green lizard is taken as a herald of warm days and good cheer. If it startled you in the dream, do not worry; they say it is only waking your attention ahead of some opportunity.
The most common dreams
Dreaming of a green lizard in the sun
A green lizard in the sun counts as a bright sign: warm days, good spirits and strength coming back. The old folks say it is time to get outdoors.
Dreaming of a lizard in the house
In many regions a lizard in the house is seen as a guardian of the home. Such a dream is believed to bring peace under the roof and a bit of luck to the household.
Dreaming of a lizard without its tail
The folk reading is encouraging: you left something behind in order to move on, and what matters will grow again. A good sign for a fresh start.
Dreaming of catching a lizard
Chasing a lizard means, as the old folks say, chasing a chance that darts past quickly. Be swift, but do not fret if this one gets away; another will come.
These interpretations come from folk tradition and are meant for fun; they do not predict the future and are not advice for life decisions.
