Nose in a dream
A nose in a dream is read in folk tradition as a good feel for people, curiosity and a bit of poking into others' affairs.
Of a resourceful person folk say that they “have a nose,” so in dreams too the nose is tied to a flair for chances and people. Dream books also read it playfully, as curiosity that sometimes goes too far, yours or someone else's. A big nose is taken as standing and self-confidence, and pleasant scents as good news already in the air. The dream is cheerful and most often tells you to trust your first impression, because it rarely misleads you.
The most common dreams
Dreaming of your nose growing
As in the fairy tale, a growing nose is read as a little exaggeration in the telling. The dream playfully reminds you that the truth is easiest to remember.
Dreaming of having a big nose
By the old reading, a big nose means standing and a good nose for business. They say you will sense in time where the real opportunity lies.
Dreaming of smelling flowers
The scent of flowers is read as good news or a pleasant meeting in the offing. Dream books add that you know how to enjoy small things.
Dreaming of an itchy nose
A folk joke says an itchy nose means either something sweet or a spat is coming. In a dream it is taken more mildly: a small surprise or a guest.
These interpretations come from folk tradition and are meant for fun; they do not predict the future and are not advice for life decisions.
