Piano in a dream
Old dream books read a piano in a dream as harmony at home, patience and effort that sounds lovely.
In folk readings the piano is linked with order, patience and good manners. A dream of a harmonious melody is believed to say that things in your life are slowly falling into line, like keys under skilled fingers. A wrong note in the dream should not worry you: it is read as a reminder that every skill is learned step by step. Old folk read a grand, shiny piano as a sign of good standing, and a small old-fashioned one as a warm memory of someone who taught you fine things.
The most common dreams
Dreaming that you are playing the piano
By folk belief, your own playing means you will sort out one tangled matter calmly and with a sense of measure. Your hands know more than you think, old folk say.
Dreaming that you are listening to a piano
Listening to a soft melody is read as the announcement of a calm period and pleasant news. It is believed you enjoy the company of people who do not raise their voices.
Dreaming of an out-of-tune piano
A piano that does not sound right is a sign that some small thing needs adjusting: a schedule, an agreement or a habit. A little care, and everything sounds as it should again.
Dreaming that you are learning to play the piano
Old dream books read learning in a dream as a new beginning in which you will be patient with yourself. Every scale you play through is one more step.
These interpretations come from folk tradition and are meant for fun; they do not predict the future and are not advice for life decisions.
