Brother in a dream
In folk belief, a brother in a dream is read as support, protection and a bond that lasts no matter what.
A Balkan saying has it that you have no brother unless your mother gives you one, and in that spirit a dream of a brother is read as a picture of support and togetherness. It need not be about an actual brother: dream books also read it as a loyal friend. A smiling brother is taken as a sign of harmony, and a quiet one as a nudge to get in touch and ask how he is. If you have no brother, the dream is believed to speak of a wish for someone who would stand by you.
The most common dreams
Dreaming of arguing with your brother
By tradition, a quarrel in a dream lets out what you leave unsaid when awake. Folk say that after such a dream talking comes easier and the bond grows stronger.
Dreaming of your brother laughing
A brother's smile is read as good news in the family and a calm time among those closest to you. A nice reason to call him and hear how he is.
Dreaming of a brother who lives far away
When you dream of a brother who lives elsewhere, dream books say he has thought of you or that you miss him. A message or a call will gladden you both.
Dreaming of hugging your brother
A hug is read in folk tradition as making peace, support and strength drawn from your own people. They say a day is coming when you will feel you have someone to count on.
These interpretations come from folk tradition and are meant for fun; they do not predict the future and are not advice for life decisions.
