Cat in a dream
By tradition, a cat in a dream speaks of independence, intuition and someone who hides their true intentions.
Folk dream books link the cat with mystery and a mind of its own. An affectionate cat is read as comfort and peace at home, while one that scratches stands for petty envy or gossip you should not take to heart. It is also believed that a dream like this reminds you to listen to your own feelings, because they often know more than you think.
The most common dreams
Dreaming of a black cat crossing your path
Despite its bad reputation, a black cat in a dream is often read as protection and luck that arrives unexpectedly. Leave the superstition aside.
Dreaming of a cat scratching you
It is believed to point to a small quarrel or someone's sharp word. It will pass quickly if you do not give it more weight than it deserves.
Dreaming of a cat with kittens
In folk interpretation, kittens bring small joys, play and lovely moments with the family. They may also announce a new face in your circle of friends.
Dreaming of a purring cat
This is read as a sign that you are in a good place and among people who suit you. Old folks say such a dream brings a peaceful stretch of time.
These interpretations come from folk tradition and are meant for fun; they do not predict the future and are not advice for life decisions.
