Table in a dream
Folk tradition reads a table in a dream as gathering, harmony and agreement: the nicer it is set, the better the sign.
In folk belief the table is the heart of the home, so in a dream it speaks of family, guests and everything that gets settled in conversation. A set table is read as plenty and pleasant gatherings, an empty one as an invitation to host someone or to begin something new. Old dream books also look at who sat around it: the more dear faces, the more harmony. Even when the table was bare, it is said that something lovely is yet to arrive on it.
